Construction of Three Septic Tanks in Cipinang Completed

The construction of three septic tanks provided by the East Jakarta Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) for eight families in RW 10, Cipinang Urban Village, Pulo Gadung District, East Jakarta has been completed.

Head of East Jakarta PMI, Bambang Pangestu Aldriyan, said the construction of the septic tank is part of social assistance for underprivileged residents.

According to him, the program aims to help improve residents' access to sanitation while reducing the habit of throwing feces into rivers, which can impact health and environmental cleanliness.

"This program is expected to provide real benefits and increase public awareness regarding the importance of sanitation and clean and healthy living behavior," he said, Wednesday (9/9).

Bambang explained that construction of the three septic tanks began on August 14 and was completed on September 6, 2026.

Meanwhile, Head of Cipinang Urban Village, Heidy Amelia Rangkuti, stated the septic tank can help reduce residents' habit of defecating in the river while also supporting efforts to maintain environmental health.

"We express our gratitude and appreciation to PMI. We hope this collaboration will continue in the future," she stated.
